Always being impressed by realistic, unmanipulated pictures, despite the trend of improving not only photos, but reality itself, I developed a philosophy, maybe even a credo in taking pictures of the world and its people with maximal authenticity.
Not always nice and clean, but I kind of fell in love with discovering the beauty within realism.
Every single image embedded on my website was made without using artificial lightning, like flash or reflectors - a technique widely known as "available light photography".
But for me, maybe the most important aim to achieve is to focus on the human component in every of my stories and images.
2010: I worked for three months as an intern for "The Daily Star" in Beirut, Lebanon.
2011: Visit to Egypt twice to produce a long-term reportage about the garbage collectors and the coptic-christian community of Cairo.
The same year I visited Libya as well, including Benghazi, Ajdabiya, Brega, Ras Lanuf, and Bin Jawad, embedded with the rebels.
2012: Internship as press-photographer for the German news-agency dapd in Berlin.
Also, I teached myself how to shoot and cut videos, and I made a small movie about the Libyan rebels conquering Bin Jawad:

In order to continue my work, I always seek for new possibilities to fund my projects,
so if you want to help me to do so or if you can pass on my contacts to interested individuals, please get in touch with me.
Current location: Berlin, Germany
